Both the inlet and overflow connections are obscured in the tanks centre recess.
These connections are buried under ground and connected to a downpipe and stormwater pipe respectively.
The water filling the tank is gravity fed from a downpipe, which is connected to a higher collection source than the inlet connection point in the tank.
